Legislative alert: interior design registration
The BSA board and Legislative Affairs Committee
urge architects in Massachusetts to contact their legislators
and voice their opposition to SB 178 - an act to license interior
designers. This far-reaching legislation raises professional
and public safety concerns, and it is important that BSA members
join the effort to oppose this bill. There is a hearing on this
legislation on June 19 at 10 am, and architects are encouraged
to join their colleagues at the State House.
For complete details on this issue, sample letters
and talking points for legislators, and information on the hearing,
visit www.architects.org/advocacy
or call/write Andrew Baldwin (617-951-1433x242 / abaldwin@architects.org
) at the BSA.
